Sundays at Westminster

Sundays at Westminster

The Lord’s Day

Give thanks to the Lord, call upon His name; make known among the nations what He has done.  Sing to Him, sing praise to Him; tell of all His wonderful acts.

Psalm 105:1-2

Worship is the greatest and grandest privilege of our Christian lives.  In worship we magnify God in the beauty of holiness.  At Westminster, we have a bold, joyful, exuberant and participatory style of worship. Our worship strives to be “high” and majestic, yet warm and personal as we sing the great hymns of the faith and the psalms, as well as theologically rich modern music.

We desire to be Bible-centered and gospel-centered in all that we do. As a church and as part of the richness of our heritage, we place a high premium on the careful, expositional teaching of the Scriptures: always gathering around the preaching of the gospel and whole counsel of God.

Westminster gathers twice each Sunday, in order to offer more opportunities for worship, singing, study of Scripture, fellowship, and the preaching of God’s Word. We believe that this not only helps us to keep the Lord’s Day well by “book-ending the day” in worship, but that it also offers more opportunity for God’s people to nourished and fed by His Word and Spirit.

Morning Worship takes place in the Sanctuary at 10:30 a.m. Evening Worship takes place in the Sanctuary at 5 p.m.

While the worship service is perhaps the most important part or the high point of the Lord’s Day, Westminster also offers Christian Education for all ages, 2 through adult, at 9:30 a.m. in various classrooms of the church building.

Westminster is pleased to offer a well staffed nursery for those needing assistance with child care for their children up through age three. An infant room is also available for nursing mothers or those wishing to put their baby down for a quiet nap.
