Women (WIC)
WIC is an organization of women in the Presbyterian Church in America. Over the years the purpose of WIC has been “that every woman know Christ personally and be committed to extending His kingdom in her life, home, church, community, and throughout the world.”
To achieve this end, the women of Westminster are grouped in two Bible study-prayer circles with a focus on three areas of ministry: education, fellowship, and service. The circles meet once a month in homes or at the church.
A sampling of service projects reflects the variety of service opportunities available to the women: flower delivery to the sick and homebound, cards and gifts to these same members on birthdays and holidays, support of the Roanoke Rescue Mission and Salem Food Pantry, and delivery of food to bereaved families in the congregation.
